Since the Dallas Mavericks traded away Luka Doncic, the franchise seems they've abandoned its culture built on loyalty. Mavs Governor Patrick Dumont didn't include Doncic or Dirk Nowitzki when discussing players who are based on winning culture, which had to have been part of the reason that led Nowitzki to slowly turn himself away from the organization.
Nowitzki has been one of Doncic's mentors ever since Doncic's rookie season in Dallas, which also happened to be Nowitzki's final season. Nowitzki was actually in attendance for Doncic's debut in Los Angeles, which set off an alarm bell for the Mavs organization. Things have completely shifted in Dallas, and it has led the greatest Maverick ever to separate himself from the only team he played for.
Now, Mavs fans are going to see one reunion that they'll enjoy very much. Steve Nash and Nowitzki were once seen as one of the best NBA duos of the 2000s. Now with the NBA starting a new era on Amazon Prime next season, Nowitzki has already been cast as an analyst on Amazon with Blake Griffin and Taylor Rooks. Now, Mavs fans have a reunion they should be very excited for next season.
Mavericks fans will love this new Nowitzki-Nash pairing
Amazon is set to feature an All-Star lineup for next season, with several broadcasters moving to Amazon's new coverage.

Nowitzki joked and said that it would be up to him to carry the broadcast, just like he did back over two decades ago. Nash established himself as an All-Star with Dallas, and then eventually a 2-time MVP player with the Phoenix Suns. One of Mark Cuban's mistakes was believing that Nash wasn't worth the money for a contract extension.
Of course, this backfired against Cuban, with Nash winning back-to-back MVPs with the Suns. While Nowitzki eventually became the de facto franchise player, Nowitzki's other All-Star teammate, Michael Finley, only stayed for one year after Nash had left Dallas. Both Nash and Nowitzki made themselves better; they became close friends and helped become some of the best free-throw shooters in the NBA.
Now, with Nowitzki set to reunite with one of his best friends, it's a welcome sight to see for all Mavs fans out there after everything they've been through over the last few months. They'll have plenty of opinions, especially during Mavs games. Nowitzki knew that Doncic wanted to follow in those same footsteps. Whether it'd be for 21 years was too tough to predict, but Doncic and Nowitzki both represented what Mavs culture was all about, and that was loyalty.
With the Mavs front office clearly wanting nothing to do with Nowitzki or Doncic anymore, it's nice to know that two Maverick greats will be behind the desk next season, together talking hoops.
