ASHBURN, Va. (7News) — Every NFL rookie has a story on how they were able to turn their dreams of playing professional football into a reality. Commanders' second-round pick Ben Sinnott is no exception.
The tight end began his college career as a walk-on at Kansas State. From there, he wracked up two All-Big 12 honors, a Third-Team AP All-American designation, and finished his career with ten touchdowns to tie a program record for the most receiving touchdowns by a tight end.
"It means so much to put the W on and be a member of the Commanders," Sinnott said. "It's something I worked so hard for; it's something I dreamed of doing as a kid. So, being able to just put the W on, be out here competing with these guys, with these coaches, it means everything."
Sinnott is expected to add value to the Commanders' passing game and already has high praise for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
