Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been extremely productive since being acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs. He was already one of the most explosive players in the league but has taken his production to another level.

Miami Dolphins Star Tyreek Hill Openly Discusses Potential New Contract

In two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, he has caught 238 passes for 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns. During the 2023 season, he led the NFL in yards, touchdowns and scrimmage yards per touch.

In both seasons, he has finished in the top 10 of MVP voting, top five of Offensive Player of the Year voting, been named a Pro Bowler and earned a spot in the All-Pro First Team.

Heading into the second half of his four-year, $120 million deal he signed upon being traded to the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek Hill is now looking for a new contract. At the time, that deal was record-setting, but the wide receiver market has boomed.

As a result, he is looking to now regain his spot near the top of the wide receiver market. With no guaranteed money left on his deal, it makes sense that he would seek out a new contract.

During a recent segment on NFL on ESPN, the star receiver expressed excitement about what could come with a new deal. He is happy for his fellow pass catchers and is now ready to get his.

“I’m 30 years old, also looking for a new deal. I am very excited to see where I fit in to that category,” Hill said when speaking about a potential new contract.

Jefferson reset the market with a historic four-year, $140 million deal, the largest for a non-quarterback. CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys is seeking something similar. Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals and Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers will all cash in sooner or later as well.

This is a change in tune for Tyreek Hill. He has previously said when this contract was up, he would be at 10 years played in the NFL and would retire off into the sunset.

Still at the top of his game and one of the most dominant players in the NFL, his plans have seemingly changed. This is likely the last chance he will have at securing a lucrative long-term deal and is hopeful that the Miami Dolphins will pay him a market deal.
