Micah Parsons' Mom Speaks Out Amid Cowboys Contract Talks

After Jerry Jones downplayed contract negotiations with Micah Parsons this week, the Dallas Cowboys' defensive star's family made it known they will have their opinions heard.

FRISCO - Sometimes it takes a village to raise a child. In this instance, it might take an entire family to get a contract deal done.

As Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stirs the pot this week with controversial comments about Micah Parsons, his agent and the ongoing negotiations, the defensive star's brother and mother are rushing to his defense.

Terrence Jr., Parsons’ brother, is brash and outspoken on his social media…. And in trying to “keep it real,” isn’t always Dallas-friendly.

This week he blasted fans who want the Cowboys to draft an offensive lineman with the 12th overall pick in an attempt to replace the retired Zack Martin.

Wrote Terrence, "lol yall we not getting no lineman thank god they smarter than alotta yall lol."

Parsons' mother, Sherese, meanwhile, is clapping back at her son's critics. Many in the media - guilty, here - have taken issue with Micah being too outspoken on too many topics. And even departed teammate DeMarcus Lawrence took a shot at Parsons for investing time, energy and passion into his podcast: The Edge.

"Let me tell you," Sherese said on a recent episode. "The podcast, don't affect nothing that he does. Trust me, he don't really have to do a lot with the podcast. Only thing he gotta do is go on and talk."

Jones this week said Parsons' agent was essentially irrelevant in contract negotiations. He won't be able to say the same about Micah's family.
