Micah Parsons' Strong Response To 'Outrageous' Saquon Barkley Treatment

Cowboys edge-rusher came to the defense of an NFC East rival on Monday, blasting Giants fans for "outrageous" behavior toward Eagles running back Saquon Barkley before his return to MetLife Stadium.

Where's Micah Parsons? Cowboys star looks to challenge Eagles with game of anticipation

During his podcast "The Edge with Micah Parsons," the Cowboys' two-time First-Team All-Pro ripped Giants fans who burned Barkley's old Giants jerseys before New York's Week 7 home game against Philadelphia.

"Saquon returns back, and he said he saw them burning his jersey in the parking lot," began Parsons.

"Like, what are Giants fans... are y'all just as delusional as the GM," he questioned.

After spending his first six seasons with the Giants, Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles during the offseason.

Parsons pointed out it wasn't Barkley's fault New York failed to sign him to a long-term extension.

"It is not Saquon's fault that he is not back in the blue and white," Parsons stressed.

Barkley got the last laugh on the field Sunday, gaining 176 yards on 17 carries and scoring a touchdown in a 28-3 Eagles win.

Barkley and Parsons meet as opponents for the first time this season in Week 10 when the Eagles (4-2) travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys (3-3).

Both former first-round picks played collegiately at Penn State, with Barkley playing for the Nittany Lions from 2015-17 and Parsons from 2018-19.

Parsons' most recent comments aren't the first time he's expressed support for Barkley after he signed with the Eagles.

During a podcast episode in September, Parsons declared, "I think Saquon has a chance to be Offensive Player of the Year in this offense."

While the Cowboys-Eagles rivalry might run deep, Parsons' friendship with Barkley runs deeper.
