Mike McDaniel meets with South Florida Media Wednesday in preparation for Patriots

Miami head coach Mike McDaniel met with South Florida reporters on Wednesday as the Dolphins held a walk through. McDaniel was able to provide clarity on the eligibility status of linebackers Bradley Chubb and Cam Goode as well as long snapper Blake Ferguson. When asked if any are set to return this week McDaniel said, “Do not think so, do not anticipate that."

Heading into a Week 12 matchup against the New England Patriots, Wednesday's overall injury report is simply an estimation of the practice participation. Dolphins who did not participate were left tackle Terron Armstead with a knee, defensive tackle Calais Campbell and safety Jordan Poyer on veteran rest, and Kendall Fuller dealing with a concussion

McDaniel was asked about Fuller's availability to practice this week and McDaniel responded, "It’s hard to say. I would be pessimistic about this week, but we’ll see.”

Poyer, who has struggled this season in his first year with Miami still has McDaniel's confidence. "He’s making plays for us from a physical standpoint each and every week and he’ll improve on the stuff because he’s a...there’s a reason he’s been in the NFL so long."

McDaniel added about the veteran defensive back, "He’s had an unbelievable NFL career because he’s a great player that is very accountable and finds ways to improve within the season which I expect him to do as well.”

The Dolphins look to sweep the 3-8 New England Patriots and move to 5-6 on the season. Should they get a third consecutive win on Sunday, it would set them up for a chance to pull to an even 6-6 on Thanksgiving night in Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. Which would keep them right in the thick of the AFC playoff picture.
