Mike Perry wants to ‘steal’ Mike Tyson fight away from Jake Paul for historic first Netflix combat sports event

Jake ’The Problem Child’ Paul takes on Mike ’Platinum’ Perry this weekend which not many saw coming. Platinum recently joined former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson on the Mighty Cast podcast. During the discussion, Perry spoke of a situation where he could get the Mike Tyson fight in place of Paul.

Tyson pulled out of the fight due to a sudden ulcer flare-up. Paul had a few potential opponents in mind to replace Tyson. Eventually, he decided to go with Perry. During their conversation, Demetrious Johnson discussed Perry’s upcoming fight against Paul. ‘Mighty Mouse’ even asked him what plans he had after the Jake Paul fight.

I definitely know Bare Knuckle is on the list for sure to go back... But I was gonna say you know this netflix deal with Mike Tyson I mean I feel like I knock Jake (Paul) out and they'll be like, hey do you wanna fight instead. Mike Perry via Mighty Cast podcast

Johnson even cracked a joke about how Perry had this master plan for a long time. Many fighters feel that the BKFC champion is undeserving of the opportunity. However, Platinum believes that his three years of hard work have led him to this point.

Although Perry has boxed professionally in the past, he lost his last fight in 2015. However, at BKFC, Perry has been an extremely dangerous finisher earning a stoppage in three of his five fights. Meanwhile, Jake Paul’s brother has a different opinion on their fight.

Logan Paul shares his opinion on Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry fight

After leaving UFC, Perry has achieved significant success in the world of bare-knuckle boxing, emerging as a prominent figure. Perry’s unique fighting style and impressive punching power are expected to provide a tough fight for Paul.

Many former fighters are highly excited about this matchup. Meanwhile, Logan Paul, the older brother of Jake Paul, holds certain views. He is confident in his younger brother’s abilities and is optimistic about Jake Paul’s chances of winning this weekend.

You are fools if you think Mike Perry stands a chance against Jake Paul. I don't give a sh** on how tough you are, can you box?... Yes, he is a bad***, yes he can brawl, but this isn't brawling, this is boxing. This is playing chess with your fists... Logan Paul via X
