An old photo published on Monday by Boxing Kingdom made waves on social media among boxing fans.

It shows Mike Tyson in the passenger seat of a car driven by Manny Pacquiao. The image, from 2004, illustrates the antiquity of a friendship that has stood the test of time for two decades in a sport usually peppered with controversies and sharp comments between fighters.

In the viral image they appear relaxed and smiling, Pacquiao with a bandage on his right hand and Tyson with a wound on his right eyelid. As a curiosity, the American star is wearing his seat belt, while the Filipino hero is not wearing it despite being behind the wheel.

Both fighters set for returns

Tyson and Pacman have not lost their passion for the sport that made them world stars over the years. Twenty years ago they were coming out of the gym training and now both are immersed in resounding returns to the ring despite being retired for a long time: Tyson will fight Jake Paul on November 15, after postponing the fight scheduled for July 20 due to a medical problem.

For his part, Pacquiao is negotiating a fight with Mario Barrios, on dates close to the Iron Mike fight.

"Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao hanging out back in the day," was the comment from Boxing Kingdom for a photo with the two legends.
