The younger fighter should perhaps be starting to worry.
We're just over a month away from the big fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul going down at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. But even after the match was postponed from its original date in July due to the legendary boxer experiencing an ulcer flareup, he seems to be looking as mean as ever in a new training video.
Tyson, 58, posted a video of his training session in the ring to Instagram late Thursday night. In the short clip, he can be seen lacing on his gloves before delivering the lightning-fast punches he's become known for throughout his nearly 30-year career.
"Final stretch. Less than 50 days left," he captioned the video, which should be enough to have Paul, 27, quaking in his boots.
Tyson has been transparent about his training regimen in the months leading up to the fight. Particularly, he's spoken about his decision to give up sex and marijuana—as he's an outspoken advocate who boasts his own line of cannabis products—so that he can better focus on the fight. (Though, he's admitted that he has incorporated psilocybin mushrooms into his routine.)
"I'm training extremely hard. I start at 11 [a.m.] and I might leave the gym at 5 [p.m.]," he said in a Sept. 23 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, noting that he takes a "small break" during the day and varies his workouts throughout the six-hour span. "After I finish doing my boxing, I get a massage for an hour, and then I go right into strength and conditioning."
