The Walking Dead - You Think You Know Comics?
A 'must watch' mystery horror series described as Lost meets The Walking Dead is now streaming.
Originally released for US audiences at the end of last year, Teacup is finally available for UK viewers to watch. The first four episodes are available from today (April 18).
The remainder of the season will be released on a weekly basis. This will lead up to a gripping finale expected to drop on May 16.
According to the show's synopsis: "A group of people trapped on a remote farm in rural Georgia must overcome their differences and unite to survive a mysterious and deadly threat. As ranchers begin to piece together the terrifying truth behind the horrific events that surround them, they are confronted with deep-seated past issues and resentment towards each other, forcing them to accept the sobering reality that they must ultimately come together for the sake of the town's survival, or face an eminent and utter demise."

Teacup's creation was heavily inspired by Robert R. McCammon's novel Stinger. However, it is not considered a direct adaptation. Ian McCullough, the mastermind behind this gripping series, has notable production and writing credentials under his belt, having worked on critically acclaimed shows like Yellowstone and Chicago Fire.
Thanks to the entire series having already been made available for streaming in the US, it has already received a number of reviews which gives potential fans an idea of what to expect. One critic claimed: "Teacup is a slow-burning, well-acted intimate family drama wrapped in survival horror and sci-fi elements."
Another added: "Teacup feels swift, engaging, and rarely tiresome, with some brutal scenes that will leave you speechless. While some questions in season 1 remain unanswered, the show sets the stage for future revelations, leaving viewers hopeful for continuation."
There was a warning about gore from IGN as they said: "You’re unlikely to see visual effects this inventively gross in any other streaming series outside of Shudder, so Teacup can make an effective Halloween binge watch if expectations of a grand finale are kept in check."

While it managed a respectable 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and receiving favourable reviews from critics, there's disappointing news for fans already , as it was announced in January that there won't be a return for a second season, asking audiences to savour this as a one-off limited series.
Nonetheless, master storyteller Stephen King has endorsed the show with enthusiasm. He took to social media to share his thoughts: "If you like From or Lost, I think you'll enjoy this. It's strange, creepy, claustrophobic, and scary. Beware the Gas Mask Man. Short episodes. All killer, no filler."

There are plenty other fans who have shared their views on the show and are hopeful of a possible follow up. One person posted: "Tension built to satisfying yet shocking crescendo that left me wanting more. I have no idea what is going on, but am already enjoying the speculation. It's giving From and Lost vibes and I'm totally here for it. Can't wait for the next episode. Hooked already."
Someone else, felt like it had more in common with a hit zombie drama. They said: "The show is amazing so far and I hope to see a second season. But I also hope it doesn’t follow that same path as Lost, Under The Dome and Jericho. Those show started out very good as well, but the endings were less than spectacular. Teacup has more of a Walking Dead feel. This show definitely has potential."
