Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett has been very public about his desire to pay elsewhere next season and beyond.

In the wake of Garrett's public demands, the Browns have remained steadfast that they have no intentions of trading the former Defensive Player of the Year, and that he's part of their "present and future."

Some suspected that Garrett's demand was just a tactic to open the door for a pay raise. But we now know that's not the issue, as Garrett has declined to even discuss a contract extension from Cleveland, and per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Garrett is "not open" to one.

While at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week, Garrett's representatives have "slammed the door" to any negotiations surrounding an extension from Cleveland, per Cabot.

Garrett's public request came on Feb. 3 when he made known his desire to "play for a contender" and to play in a Super Bowl. Garrett had earlier in the offseason told the Browns he wanted to see their plan for success in 2025, and apparently didn't like what he saw.

The Browns maintain that they will not trade Garrett.

General manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski have both publicly stated this week at the Combine that they fully expect the former Texas A&M Aggies pass rusher to be on the roster in Cleveland this season.
