New Bruins Star Removed From Top Centers List

This new Boston Bruins forward lost his place on the top NHL centers list.

The 2023-24 season was a tough one for new Boston Bruins center Elias Lindholm. In 75 games split between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks, the 29-year-old posted 15 goals and 44 points. This production was low for Lindholm's standards, but given his past success, he undoubtedly has the potential to bounce back.

However, while Lindholm has the tools to get his offense back up, his down season led to him losing his spot on the NHL Network’s latest Top 20 centers list. Lindholm had the No. 20 spot for last season’s rankings.

Given Lindholm’s drop in production this past season, it is justifiable that the NHL Network didn’t include him in this year’s list. However, when noting that Lindholm has had plenty of past success and is expected to be Boston’s first-line center in 2024-25, he could very well get his offense back up. This is especially true when noting that he should play on a line with superstar forward David Pastrnak.

It will now be fascinating to see what kind of campaign Lindholm puts together during his first year in Boston. If he bounces back offensively and maintains his elite defensive play, a return to the NHL Network’s top 20 list could be in the cards for him next year.
