Exciting news for Bachelor Nation!
As Bachelor Nation fans gear up for a summer of love as “Bachelor in Paradise” returns to our screens, host Jesse Palmer dropped some bombshell news.
At Hulu’s Get Real House event, Jesse revealed that not only is “Bachelor in Paradise” coming back but the beloved show “The Golden Bachelor” will be returning too.
Jesse also shared who our new leading man looking for love in his Golden years is and it’s a completely new face.
Everyone, please welcome Mel Owens to Bachelor Nation and get excited to see him as our next Golden Bachelor!
Mel is a 66-year-old former NFL veteran-turned-lawyer who is gearing up to make his next big play as the second Golden Bachelor.

Mel’s life has taken many unexpected turns, one of which was the end of his marriage, but he channeled his energy into being the best dad he could be.
Now, after several years as a devoted father, he is ready to rediscover a love rooted in the simple joys of companionship.
We can’t wait to see Mel look for love!
But that’s not all! Jesse also revealed exciting news about “Bachelor in Paradise,” including that it will no longer be taking place in Mexico and instead is heading to our new paradise — Costa Rica!
Jesse shared that Wells Adams will be returning as bartender with a new fellow bartender by his side… none other than former Bachelorette Hannah Brown!
