A former key piece of a Kellen Moore offense remains available to sign for any NFL team. Joining the New Orleans Saints offensive line depth chart sounds appealing to the veteran lineman, though.
La'el Collins teases NFL return to the Saints
The former NFL starter and long-time offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys is on the market looking for a return to the pros. Getting back with Kellen Moore could make the most sense for the veteran offensive lineman who simply wants another shot.
“What’s crazy about the NFL, anything can happen right?” Collins said. “I mean, you got Kellen (Moore) over there down in New Orleans. We’ve been talking a little bit. Hopefully… You never know what could happen.”
He acknowledged that he could just as well end up back with Dallas, but the Moore and Louisiana connections (which the Saints have valued a lot lately) are strong to consider.

New Orleans could look for more depth on the free agent market when it comes to offensive line help.
Trevor Penning is expected to start at guard for the Saints this season, so another hole has potentially opened up when it comes to tackle depth. Collins has a ton of NFL experience and rich ties to both Louisiana and the coaching staff in New Orleans.
Collins spent time with Moore in Dallas during his stint as the Cowboys' offensive coordinator. Now, it is apparent that the coach and player have held their relationship throughout movement throughout the league on both sides. Collins has been a part of multiple teams since, and Moore could say the same - most recently as the OC of the Philadelphia Eagles.
We will see if the two sides come to an agreement to see if Collins could carve out a roster spot during training camp or the preseason.
