New Orleans Saints fan favorite gets snubbed from potential US Olympic men's Flag Football for 2028 Olympics

NFL players will be able to participate in flag football during the 2028 summer Olympics. With that, considering who could dawn the red, white, and blue is a great thought process for now.

The following roster is not any sort of official roster for the United States. Instead, A to Z's own Tyler Forness put together a full roster projection for the flag football team that could dominate for the US.

Taysom snubbed from potential flag football team

What Is Taysom Hill's NFL Future?

For the Saints, they didn't land any players on this potential squad for the country. Taysom's physicality, effort, and versatility would probably create a fan favorite over in flag football as well. While the game is centered a bit more around burst than power, Hill would still be a fun player to watch play it.

Travis Hunter was the hybrid player for Forness' roster, which does make sense as well. He's such a smooth-moving athlete that proved to be an elite cornerback at the college level. Either one of them could be an intriguing "flex" option for a flag football team.

When you play NFL Street, you have to have players who can play both ways. The easiest way to accomplish this is by adding a Heisman Trophy winner who thrived in both areas.

Also, Hill would be 37 years old by then. Coming off a torn ACL this season, there could also be a bit of a concern for his athleticism by the time 2028 rolls around for the veteran utility weapon.

Another option from the Saints

Alvin Kamara feels like the top option outside of Hill that could be an awesome flag football prospect. His elusiveness has always been his calling card, and the patience in his running style would make life a living hell on his opponents.

Keep in mind - these are some of the most notable parts of flag football. The game is much different from the NFL but shares some small aspects that could work in both sports.

  • Field is 70 yards by 25 yards
  • 12 player rosters with five players on each team taking the field
  • Start with the ball at your own 5, midfield is the only first down marker
  • Run plays are allowed, but not once you get inside the five yard line
  • Pass rushers lineup seven yards off the line of scrimmage
  • The center is an eligible receiver
  • One player per NFL team
