Saints coaching interviews lined up.
Kellen Moore has more interviews lined up for his coaching staff.
According to Sunday reports by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and SI’s Albert Breer, the New Orleans Saints are interviewing Brandon Staley and Christian Parker for their defensive coordinator spot, and they’ll interview Doug Nussmeier this week for the offensive coordinator job. Parker and Nussmeier were with Moore in Philadelphia for their Super Bowl run.
Whoever Moore picks as his new defensive leader is a big move. The Saints have regressed a good bit on that side of the ball, which was supposed to be a big reason for them getting back into the postseason. They only had two major injuries on that side of the ball (Paulson Adebo and Marshon Lattimore), but dropped off in several categories.
New Orleans will have an almost brand new coaching staff in 2025, as many assistants have already moved on to other teams. Moore has hired two new coaches on the offensive side of the ball in Brendan Nugent and Chase Haslett, and he also kept Keith Williams on as his receivers coach.
All the hires should hopefully be in place before the Scouting Combine, but there’s no specific deadline for the Saints to have their staff in place.
