NEW ORLEANS —As NFL fans flock to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, locals are reflected on the Saints Super Bowl win 15 years ago today.
Friday marks the 15th anniversary of the Saints' historic Super Bowl 44 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Saints, led by future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, won 31-17, capturing the franchise's first championship.
A late interception return by Tracy Porter sealed the win, igniting the crowd and the city.
Following the victory, New Orleans threw a massive parade during Carnival season, celebrating the team's success.
