New York Giants Star Sounds Off on Dallas Cowboys Loss: ‘I don’t Give a Damn’
The New York Giants went toe-to-toe with the reigning NFC East champion Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, ultimately coming up short 20-15, which didn’t sit well with one of the most gifted players on the roster.

Giants nose tackle Dexter Lawrence continues to reinforce his reputation as arguably the most disruptive nose tackle in the sport, and Thursday night vented his frustrations over the suggestion that New York somehow secured a moral victory by hanging with the Cowboys.
“No, I’m not getting now petty wins,” Lawrence told reporters. “Whoever won on the scoreboard. That’s the game. I don’t give a damn about a petty win. This is football, we go out here to score points, and to win, and stop them on defense. We didn’t do that, and they beat us.”
Thursday night, the Giants’ offense made strides, controlling the time of possession by a 35:37 to 24:23 margin, but, Dallas’ quick-strike offense and the Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb connection was simply too much for New York’s defense to overcome.
Lawrence, and the Giants’ defensive line, though, largely did their job. Cowboys running backs combined for just 80 rushing yards but Prescott was sacked just once, by Lawrence.
Nevertheless, the Giants came up short on the scoreboard and now drop to 1-3 with daunting challenges looming in coming weeks at Seattle, against the Cincinnati Bengals, against the Philadelphia Eagles and at Pittsburgh over the next four weeks. The upcoming stretch could determine how competitive the Giants wind up being this season.
