The San Francisco Buccaneers face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 10. The 49ers enter with a 4-4 record in a disappointing start to the season.
However, they have dealt with numerous injuries, including Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and others.
McCaffrey has yet to play this season, although he is expected to make his 2024 debut on Sunday against Tampa Bay.
Samuel also was listed as questionable going into the game. Just after midnight on the East Coast, ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that Samuel is expected to play.
"49ers WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable for Sunday due to rib and oblique injury, is expected to play vs. the Bucs, per source," Schefter wrote on X.
Samuel was limited in practice during the week with an oblique and a rib injury, so the star WR being able to play on Sunday is huge news for the 49ers.
Samuel has 406 yards receiving with one score on the season and has added one touchdown in the rushing game as well.
The 49ers hung on for a 30-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, where Samuel had four catches for 71 yards.
Now, the 49ers should have both Samuel and McCaffrey on the field in Week 10, which will be a massive boost to the offense.
