NFL News: David Bakhtiari Calls NFL Over ‘Missed Opportunity’

It has been a while since the last time former Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari was last seen in action in the NFL. Bakhtiari spent 11 seasons with the Packers before he was released by the only team he’s played for in his NFL career in 2024.

Bakhtiari has not officially retired yet, but there hasn’t been a significant sign for a comeback for the former star protector of superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Nevertheless, Bakhtiari hasn’t exactly faded away from the view of the public, at least virtually. With a considerable following online, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), the three-time Pro Bowler is keeping himself quite active on social media.

Bakhtiari hilariously points out a ‘missed opportunity’ on Green Bay Packers jersey sale

Green Bay Packers: David Bakhtiari Calls NFL Over 'Missed Opportunity' 2 Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (69) blocks Chicago Bears defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (91) during second half of their game on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023 at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Bakhtiari was tagged by an X user in a post about a clearance sale on NFL Shop, which has the former Colorado Buffaloes offensive lineman’s Packers jersey priced at just $58.99 from the regular price of $129.00

The 33-year-old Bakhtiari took notice of the post, and had a hilarious reaction to it.

“Atleast make it $69.69 Missed opportunity to make more money imo. ‍

️” Bakhtiari wrote.

Bakhtiari was a fourth-round pick by the Packers in the 2013 NFL draft and blossomed into one of the best Green Bay players of his generation. Apart from his Pro Bowl nods, he was also a two-time All-Pro. Injuries have taken away so much from his potential to be an even bigger star in the league, but his contributions to the Packers are surely not forgotten.
