Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft has taken over the number one tight end duties for the team over the last week or two. With Luke Musgrave potentially heading to injured reserve with an ankle injury, Kraft is going to be featured a lot in this Packers offense.
He had a breakout game last week against the Los Angeles Rams with four receptions for 88 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 22.0 yards per reception. Kraft is in his second NFL season and played his college football with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.
Bleacher Report Writer Gary Davenport Thinks That Green Bay Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Should Be Sat By Fantasy Football Owners This Week
Bleacher Report writer Gary Davenport created a must-start, must-sit, and potential sleeper for fantasy football in each of the 14 NFL matchups this weekend. In the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers contest, Davenport thinks that Kraft is a must-sit this weekend. Davenport said:
“Frankly, there aren’t any obvious “sits” in this game. Both the Packers and Redbirds have been plus fantasy matchups for most positions in 2024. This is just a reminder that Kraft isn’t going to explode for a pair of touchdowns every week.”
It is possible that he doesn’t repeat last week’s performance because Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson both could be back this weekend for the Green Bay Packers against the Arizona Cardinals. However, there could be a chance that Tucker Kraft gets his number called upon again. Also, Kraft could be a good sit because it could be Jayden Reed’s turn to be the leading receiver this weekend.
Kraft Appeared On the Injury Report On Thursday
Kraft was a full participant on Wednesday at practice, but he showed up on the injury report on Thursday. Kraft was a limited participant on Thursday with a groin injury. It will be something worth monitoring on Friday. If he were not to practice on Friday, the Packers would be very thin at tight end for the game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Injuries seem to be the story for the Packers once again. Hopefully, fantasy football owners do not have to sit Kraft because of an injury this weekend.
