Philadelphia Eagles defensive back James Bradberry has been one of the biggest question marks this offseason.

Nick Sirianni hints at James Bradberry's future with the Eagles

Will he stay or will he go?

Well, that question may have been answered on Saturday afternoon when he did not dress for the Eagles' preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings along with the rest of the starters.

Typically, if a player doesn't dress for a preseason game, then he has won a roster spot.

After the game, head coach Nick Sirianni did not confirm, nor deny that Bradberry made the cut. But from what he did say, it sounds like he won't be leaving Philly anytime soon.

“We felt like he was in a position where we were comfortable and that's why he didn't play," Sirianni said after the game. "Obviously we like James, had some really good moments here and has been a great teammate. Made some great plays here. I'm excited that he's here and has the versatility that he has.”

Bradberry, who will be 31 at the start of this season, is no longer the same corner he once was and that became blatantly clear last fall. He allowed an NFL-high 11 touchdown passes in 2023 and had one of the worst defensive passer ratings among all cornerbacks in the NFL.

But with him still not too far off his All-Pro year in 2022 and his veteran presence, the Eagles appeared not ready to give up on him as they switched him to safety this offseason amongst a crowded cornerback room.

Bradberry did not have the best preseason performances in games 1 or 2, but he had a decent training camp, according to several reports.

The Eagles have until Tuesday afternoon to decide on Bradberry's future, but for now, all signs point toward him landing on the official 53-man roster.
