‘No Panic!’ Jets Worried About Aaron’s Ankle?

Maybe the New York Jets are asking quarterback Aaron Rodgers to do too much.

Or maybe at age 40, there is too little that Rodgers can do anymore.

But he is now hobbled by a low ankle sprain that has him and the team insisting that he'll be fine for next Monday night when they face off against the AFC East enemy the Buffalo Bills as the two teams fight for the division lead.

Rodgers will be undergoing medical evaluation, coach Robert Saleh said on Monday morning, noting that "all the preliminary stuff says he'll be fine."

Rodgers got knocked around again this week in a 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London. There were three sacks but there were also 11 quarterback hits ... that adds up to 25 QB hits in the last two games.

He got bent backward in this game, hurting his left ankle ... and ultimately saying, "Screw it!'' and continuing to play - but not especially well.

Salah insists the Jets will get this thing turned around ... and that turnaround might need to start with Rodgers himself.

"I'm not panicked," the coach said. "Nobody in the building is panicked."
