No post season success? Jerry Jones will let Dak Prescott ‘walk’ from the Cowboys if the contract isn’t signed by Week 1, claims Kay Adams

The Dallas Cowboys’ contract season is a gift that keeps on giving. Kay Adams has reported that Jerry Jones is going to let Dak Prescott walk away if there’s no contract agreement by Week 1. The contract saga has been brewing like a primetime drama show.

No post season success? Jerry Jones will let Dak Prescott ‘walk’ from the Cowboys if the contract isn’t signed by Week 1, claims Kay Adams

‘Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams’ host speculated that the stakes are high for Prescott heading into the new season. She acknowledged that Prescott is a fine player with exceptional skills and could not believe that this was happening. She alluded to the fact that Jerry Jones keep poking the player’s inability to win crucial postseason games.

The media attention has fallen heavily on the quarterback after his compatriot CeeDee Lamb received the second-highest pay for a non-quarterback in the league. If Lamb’s holdout was dramatic, the stage is not ready for what’s gonna happen. If Adams’ speculations are true, one might be looking at a scene where Micah Parsons might end up staying and Prescott leaving. Names like Shedeur Sanders, and Trey Lance are popping up as replacements already.

It’s blatantly clear that (Jerry Jones) is calling out Dak’s lack of postseason success. Also, the reference to the ‘Cowboys situations’ really making it seem like he may end up letting Dak walk… Let Dak walk, sign CeeDee, keep Micah. Kay Adams said on her Up & Adams Show

Dak Prescott is entering his final year of contract. The veteran has been in the Dallas camp since the team drafted him 135th overall at the 2016 NFL Draft. He, then, extended his stay for four more seasons in 2021, signing away the then-highest signing bonus in NFL History. He has been a pretty consistent player with a winning record to his name. However, It is not untrue that Prescott hasn’t been up to the margin in the postseason.

The self-acclaimed great Jones and his squad haven’t seen a Championship game since the title season in ’95. In the eight years since Prescott has been playing for the Cowboys, they have missed thrice. They went down in Wild Card Playoffs twice and Divisionals thrice. Prescott’s record is 2-5, which says a lot to the management.

Dak Prescott might become the biggest free-agent QB in NFL History

Prescott hitting the markets as a free-again QB would be absolute cinema. There would be multiple teams vying to bring Prescott to the team. Mike Florio has reported that the NY Giants would be absolutely pursuing Prescott as an experienced, agile addition to their team after the Daniel Jones saga. He also adds six other teams including the NY Jets, and LA Rams who could snatch away the QB.

Kay Adams revealed that she believes that Prescott might be the biggest free agent QB in the market. Considering the path the league is taking, I guess, this might be true.

Dak hits the market after this year people thats crazy that would make this year hands down the most fascinating situation we've seen for a QB... Dak will have one more chance, every game, every snap, every minute to completely rewrite a narrative but even if he doesn't, he is going to be the biggest free agent quarterback of all time. Kay Adams added

The Athletic survey has agents questioning and blaming Jones for the situation they are now in. One agent specifically said that the Cowboys aren’t gonna pay the QB $60 million dollars. They further said that the Cowboys cannot make three guys (Lamb, Parsons, Prescott), the highest-paid in their positions. This further solidifies the fact Prescott might as well slam the door and find a place that can pay him.
