The other day, we were thinking about something Nick Sirianni said. You'll have to forgive us though. We forget the exact quote and the date that the quote was birthed. We do, however, remember the circumstances. It came after a Philadelphia Eagles win during discussions about the roster.
Nick said, and we're paraphrasing, coaching at football's highest level is easier when the roster is stacked. He also credited Howie Roseman for the job he has done. We'd agree with the sentiment. It's hard to find rosters better than the unit the Birds have built and maintained.
There are arguably stars at most offensive and defensive positions, if not all. It's what we would call 'a good problem to have'. Still, success often comes with contempt, and Philadelphia has seen plenty. One of our favorite platforms, however, gave the guys in green their flowers recently.
The Athletic ranks the Eagles' roster as the NFL's best.
Hanging out on a few timelines (and Google Discover), we ran across something entertaining. The Athletic recently stacked the NFL's 32 rosters vs. one another, attempting to rank them. Philly topped the list. The Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills round out the top five.
Austin Mock penned this one, and it sits behind a paywall. That being said, we won't share any direct quotes, but he hits the nail in mentioning that, despite experiencing so many important losses, this is still a stacked unit with young talent, making the Philadelphia Eagles a forced to be reckoned with that will continue to contend as we move forward.
Mock's story is a breath of fresh air. If we're honest, we had grown weary of so much of what's been printed recently. It's almost as if this team didn't win the Super Bowl two months ago.
. We've heard everything from a backhanded compliment from one of the coming NFL Draft's top quarterback prospects to attempts to discredit Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts. Many seem to want to shrug off the phenomenal job that both are doing.
This team is so talented that Nick Sirianni is often robbed of so much of the credit he deserves for its success. Recently, a coaches ranking was released. He wasn't mentioned among the top five that were mentioned.
Jalen Hurts is disrespected just as often. He's the most recent Super Bowl MVP and has done nothing but win, but he's continually marginalized on several platforms. It's still hard to believe that keeps happening. Then again, what else is new? Hopefully, Jalen and Nick will do what they always do, use this as motivation and keep winning.
