Offensive Lineman Landon Young Returns To New Orleans Saints

The Saints have announced the re-signing of Landon Young.

On Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints announced that they have re-signed offensive lineman Landon Young. The official announcement came from New Orleans President and General Manager Mickey Loomis on Tuesday afternoon.

Young's new deal is a one-year contract. Financial terms of the transaction are not yet available.

A sixth-round choice in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of Kentucky, Young has played his entire four-year NFL career in New Orleans. He ended his collegiate career with the Wildcats as a 1st Team All-SEC selection.

Young, 27, has appeared in 56 games with the Saints. He's started 12 of those contests, with a career-best five starts out of 17 game appearances last season. His 393 offensive snaps in 2024-25 were also the highest of his career.

At 6'7" and 321-Lbs., Young has seen action at both right and left tackle for New Orleans. Last season, he also logged some snaps inside at the guard position.

The Saints re-signing of Young is only the second activity the team has had at the position since the start of free agency last week. New Orleans also brought back center/guard Will Clapp on a one-year deal. Clapp had previously played for New Orleans from 2018, his rookie year, through 2021.

Offensive linemen Lucas Patrick, Shane Lemieux, Olisaemeka Udoh, and Justin Herron remain available free agents after playing in New Orleans last season. Patrick, who started 10 games at left guard, visited with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week.

Lemieux saw four starts for the Saints last season, with Udoh getting one. Herron spent the year on injured reserve. Patrick, Lemieux, Udoh, and Herron were all free agent additions to the Saints during the 2024 offseason.
