Osa Odighizuwa Reveals Emotion On Cowboys Return

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa will call The Star home for another four years with his contract, worth up to $80 million being the franchise's first key piece of business for the offseason.

Getting Osa, who is coming off a career-best season in 2024, to be one of the key cogs in Matt Eberflus' defense was a top priority for the Cowboys. Jerry Jones even stated that the franchise had always planned on keeping Osa.

That was reflected in the contract offered and the $52 million in guaranteed money, and with the looming possibility of free agency, Dallas got on the front foot and got his signature before a bidding war began.

And Osa, showing some emotion, never wanted any other team.

“I knew I wanted to stay in Dallas the whole time, it was just a matter of whether or not I was going to be able to,” Osa said on NFL Insiders. “We were able to make something work, I’m very, very excited to be back, to be spending another four years in Dallas.”

With the Cowboys being proactive this offseason, with a host of re-signings taking place, the next big domino to fall is Micah Parsons.

With Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby both signing monster extensions over the past 48 hours, Micah's price keeps going up.

But No. 11 has stated he doesn't need to be the highest-paid non-QB in football if that means the leftover funds are used to strengthen the team.

Parsons wants to be a Cowboy and has stated as much. Like Odighizuwa, he hopes that his future gets sorted out sooner rather than later.
