Packers $48 million star predicted to be left off of Pro Bowl roster

The Green Bay Packers are 8-3 despite Jordan Love missing time with injuries. One of their key players is predicted to be left off of the Pro Bowl roster.

While predicting the full Pro Bowl roster, FanSided's Nick Villano predicted that Josh Jacobs would be left out of the Pro Bowl. Villano predicted that Saquon Barkley, Chuba Hubbard and Bijan Robinson would be the three NFC running backs.

Jacobs is the third in the NFL in rushing yards right now. He carried a huge load for the team when Love was out. Matt LaFleur leaned heavily on him to carry the offense with Malik Willis starting.

Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million deal in free agency. Many fans were upset with the team moving on from Aaron Jones, but Jacobs has been everything the Packers needed and then some. Barkley should be a shoe-in for the Pro Bowl, and could also be an MVP finalist. Jacobs has an argument to be in over Hubbard and Robinson.

Hubbard is sixth in the league in rushing yards and on his way to a 1,000-yard season. While he is a great player, Jacobs has him beat in yards and rushing touchdowns. Jacobs also has more receiving yards.

"We also want to send some love to Chuba Hubbard for playing so well despite the situation in Carolina. The former Oklahoma State great has been chugging along each and every week despite the Panthers being one of the worst teams in the league and drafting his replacement this offseason in Jonathan Brooks," wrote Villano. "He’s been amazing despite all of this, and he very much deserves Pro Bowl recognition."

The Pro Bowl is voted on by the fans, players and coaches, each group counting for a third of the total vote. Although Jacobs would much rather be preparing for the Super Bowl at that time, he should deserve the recognition he has earned.
