In a shocking development, the Green Bay Packers saw their quarterback ranked No. 68 in a list of the Top 100 NFL players. This list was created by the Locked on Podcast network, a reputable podcasting platform that hosts daily 30-minute episodes for every team across the major sports leagues.
Jordan Love being ranked No. 68 seems fair, though many Packers fans would argue he should be higher than that. No matter his ranking, fans lost their mind as the Jacksonville Jaguars No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 draft was ranked higher than Love.
Travis Hunter is Rated Higher Than Jordan Love
Without playing a single snap in the league, Travis Hunter finds himself as the No. 67 player in the NFL. Love has now started two seasons for the Packers after sitting for the majority of his rookie contract behind Aaron Rodgers.
Green Bay knew they had something special, as Love led the team to an upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs in his first year as a starter. While his 2024 season was plagued with injuries, he still only missed two games.
His completion percentage fell by one percent, and he threw for 770 yards than he did the year prior. With a 25 touchdown to 11 interception ratio, Love has his work cut out for him to get back to the 32:11 ratio he had in 2023. If he remains healthy, there’s no reason why he can’t get back to that point.
Packers Fans React to Locked On Podcast’s Rankings
Peter Bukowski is the official host of Locked on Packers, as he was left speechless. His post, “WHAT” on the Locked on Packers social media account created a response, “Why is Travis Hunter even on this list lmao”.
That fan asked a great question, one that many others had as well. Another Wisconsin sports writer wrote, “Jordan Love behind Travis Hunter, who has never taken an NFL snap is absolutely laughable. What a trash list.”
“The Jordan Love disrespect is wild…” this Packers fan said. Many NFL fans would argue that the Packers overpaid on Love’s four-year, $220 million extension. Upon signing the contract, he was the highest paid quarterback in the league.
Bukowski went on his personal account to rant, “Behind a player who has never played an NFL snap are you f****** kidding me?”
A self proclaimed “Packers Super Fan” added, “Lot of work to do for 10… he needs to earn that Contract. Every penny of it. He does that he’ll move up the list..” Packers fans knew what the user was saying, but still couldn’t justify Hunter being ranked above him.
Travis Hunter’s Time Will Come
Whether he plays one position or two, there’s no denying how talented Travis Hunter is. The Jaguars knew they were taking a potential game-changing player in the draft, but it remains to be seen how his style will translate to the NFL.
No player has successful played both ways in quite some time, with the Colorado graduate looking to re-write history. If he does so, he could go down as the NFL’s version of Shohei Ohtani, which would likely land him one of the largest deals in the league’s history. Until then, it’s hard to justify him being ranked as he’s yet to play a single snap.
