One former Green Bay Packers kicker is getting another shot in the NFL.  This time it is going to be with an NFC rival who is hoping to turn around their franchise.

Wisconsin Sports Heroics’ very own Robin Adams covered the breaking story:

Last week, Washington Commanders kicker Brandon McManus had a lawsuit filed against him alleging that he sexually assaulted two Jacksonville Jaguars flight attendants. McManus, who was played for the Jaguars last year, had signed as a free agent with the Commanders earlier this offseason.

Following the filing of the lawsuit and upon hearing of the things he is accused of doing, the Commanders decided to release McManus. As he was the only kicker on their roster, they needed to find a replacement, and fast.

A few days ago, it was suggested that Crosby could be suitable replacement for McManus on the Commanders’ roster. However, they have decided to go in a different direction:

If the name Ramiz Ahmed sounds familiar to Packers fans, it is because he was on the team in 2022. He did not attempt any field goals, but did play in one game as the kickoff specialist.
