Josh Jacobs gushes over NFL’s ‘next superstar’ in Jordan Love

Love put together an impressive statistical first season as a full-time starter in 2023 and led the Packers to a playoff victory, and his new teammate sees something special in the signal-caller.

Jacobs raved about his new quarterback while speaking to NFL.com's Eric Edholm, stating that Love is "going to be the next superstar in this league."

"To me, just from what I've seen, he has all the traits and all the tools to be a superstar in this league," Jacobs said. "I think that as he keeps continuing to play and gets experience and becomes more confident in his abilities and what he can do, he's going to be the next superstar in this league, for sure."

Jacobs, the Raiders' No. 24 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, played the first five seasons of his career with the Silver and Black before leaving in free agency this past offseason. He spent the bulk of that time with Derek Carr as his quarterback, followed by Aidan O'Connell and, briefly, Jimmy Garoppolo in 2023.

It's hard to argue with Jacobs' assessment of Love, who threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions during the regular season. The 25-year-old showcased plenty of upside last season, including a stellar performance in the Packers' dominant 48-32 playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys. He completed 16 of his 21 pass attempts for 272 yards and three touchdowns in his postseason debut.
