The Green Bay Packers suddenly have a serious need at wide receiver. Christian Watson is expected to miss the start of the 2025 season due to his ACL injury at the end of the 2024 season. Additionally, Green Bay had a big problem with drops in 2024. As a team they had 33 dropped passes, third most in the league.
However, a new name has surfaced as an option for this team.
Breaking: Packers Learn Of New Wide Receiver On Trade Block

Several teams around the league have inquired about wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, which has prompted the San Francisco 49ers to explore trade options:
The New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns have reportedly reached out, expressing strong interest in acquiring the dynamic pass-catcher.
Aiyuk’s potential departure follows the recent trade of Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Samuel’s absence leaves a significant gap in the 49ers’ receiving corps, making the prospect of losing Brandon Aiyuk even more complex.
While Aiyuk has been expected to take on a larger role, his recovery from a season-ending knee injury that limited him to seven games last year adds another layer of uncertainty.

Michael Silver of The Athletic reported that the 49ers may have some buyers remorse when it comes to signing Brandon Aiyuk to an extension.
Aiyuk is an interesting option since he entered 2024 coming off consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and would probably have replicated that success if not for a torn MCL and ACL.
At one point, the top Niners receiver appeared headed to Washington via trade before the two sides negotiated a deal late in training camp.
It will be interesting to see how Green Bay addresses the wide receiver position, we have already seen numerous wide receivers join new team this off-season. Their options are dwindling quick.
