Packers vs Bears – Week 11 Preview
Green Bay Packers fans, we’re on the verge of one of those classic, messy NFC North showdowns — Packers vs Bears style. While the Bears entered the season high on Caleb Williams and a fresh roster, it’s all spiraled out of control.
Their offensive coordinator’s been fired, and the offense is barely managing ten points a game. Rookie quarterback Williams? Struggling so much that there’s even talk of benching him for the game. A season that started with promise for Chicago now looks like a dumpster fire we could put out entirely.
On our end, the Packers sit at 6-3, hanging on to the NFC wild card race by a thread, but a win this week would give us some much-needed breathing room. Jordan Love’s been solid but needs to tighten up on the picks if we’re going to secure this spot.
He’s thrown ten interceptions in seven games—putting our defense in some tight spots week after week. We all know this team has more in it, but we need a clean game from him if we want a real shot.
Then there’s Soldier Field, where ticket prices are at a record high despite the Bears’ downfall. That rivalry magic still lives; despite everything, Bears tickets are flying off the shelves. The average ticket is topping $477, making this the hottest ticket in the NFL this weekend.
The draw? The promise that Green Bay might officially knock Chicago out of contention while Bears fans still hold on to some shred of hope.
We’re fresh off a bye, slightly healthier and more focused, while the Bears are in shambles, not even sure who’s starting under center. With Williams taking a beating, getting sacked fifteen times in just two weeks, this is a golden chance for our pass rush.
Green Bay’s got a chance to pile on the misery, give Chicago one more reality check, and come out one step closer to the playoffs.
Adam Schefter Talks About the 2024 Chicago Bears Disaster with Sports Media Disaster Pat McAfee
Schefter’s finally seeing the light! Caleb Williams is indeed overrated. “Regressing” is an understatement; the guy’s a flat-out bust! All that hype and Heisman talk for nothing.
The Bears are stuck with another quarterback who can’t get it done. Maybe they should try putting Tyson Bagent in – couldn’t be any worse, right? Even his fellow teammates want to see him benched.
(Btw, here’s a more nuanced take from Acme Packing Company whose writer still sees some glimmer of hope in Williams.)
Eberflus? Don’t make me laugh. “Defensive mastermind”? More like “defensive disaster.” His “system” is getting shredded week after week. Maybe that sweet hair is distracting him from the fact that his team can’t stop a nosebleed.
The Bears are a mess, and I’m loving every minute of it. They can fire their coaches, shuffle their quarterbacks, and draft all the “skill players” they want; it won’t make a difference. They’re stuck in mediocrity, and now the Packers have more to worry about with the Lions, as far as NFC North competition goes.
