Packers respond with 'cowardly' move after Eagles demolished them in playoffs

'Snitches get stitches'. It's an old saying but one we're all familiar with. We've heard it stated several different ways. Here's another. No one likes a tattletale. Ladies and gentlemen, an NFL team we used to respect tucked their tails during a postseason game. Now, they're running to the principal's office and attempting to get our world champion Philadelphia Eagles in trouble.

Here's the worst part about all of this. They didn't even have the backbone to attach their names to their complaint. Well, that didn't work. In an era where social media is more popular than ever, it didn't take long for proverbial cats to be let out of their bags.

Packers respond with 'cowardly' move after Eagles demolished them in playoffs

Here we go again. This time, the Packers are angling to get the Brotherly Shove banned, and a local Philly on-air personality thinks it's "cowardly".

Here's a message to the Green Bay Packers. Most people have cell phones now. Most of those phones have cameras. You aren't getting away with throwing rocks and hiding your hands.

Per several sources, one of the first being The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the storied Green Bay Packers who pushed the panic button. Yes, we do mean those same Packers Philly beat twice this season. When did it become acceptable in football to take these weak approaches when losing?

In a town like Philly, such actions don't play well. 97.5 The Fanatic's Andrew Salciunas referred to the move as cowardly. If you've come to this platform looking for rebuttable, you won't find one.

'Cowardly' was exactly the word we were thinking of using.

Frankly. we respect Andrew Salciunas for making the statement. At least he made a statement and attached his name to it. We're not going to lie. We are a tad disappointed here. First, the San Francisco 49ers got rolled in an NFC Championship Game and became the 'Forty-Whiners'. Now, another of football's biggest and most storied brands has come to the same conclusion.

It's easier to play the victim, declare foul play, or complain of an uneven playing field than to just say 'your team is better than ours'.

We were ticked at the 49ers. Hey, we thought 'gold' was a standard, not just one of the team's colors. The freaking Green Bay Packers gave us Vince Lombardi for Heaven's sake. His name is on the Super Bowl trophy.

Here's our translation. Here's what the Packers and Niners were really saying. Your team is stronger, tougher, better in the trenches, and more elite. We've lost count. Isn't this the third consecutive offseason that someone has asked that this play be banned?

What's next? Do we ask Saquon Barkley to slow down in the open field to give defenders a better chance at catching him? Do we ban A.J. Brown's slant route because he's too good at running it? No, better yet, how about we ban deep passes to DeVonta Smith?

Here's food for thought. If it takes 'no skill to run a QB sneak, why can't your team do it? Maybe that's what the competition committee should be discussing.
