According to local reporter Kyle Malzhan:

Elgton Jenkins on #Packers QB Jordan Love:

“Obviously Jordan wants to be a Packer. He tells us everyday. He shows it everyday. He does it the Packer way everyday…. I want him as our quarterback.”

In advance of the first training camp practice, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst met with the media on Monday morning. His press conference confrimed that Love is in Green Bay. His agents, however, informed him that Love will not participate in any practices until a contract is signed.

Despite not practicing himself, Love will be present at practice and in team meetings. Clearly, a deal between the Packers and the franchise quarterback isn’t far away. Furthermore, it shows a clear difference between him and his predecessor, Aaron Rodgers, who would not show up in the event of a dispute with the front office.

Love has earned the respect of his teammates and coaching staff.  It is clear they’re excited to see his deal get done.
