Packers’ Win Leaves Tennessee Titans Coach With ‘Embarrassing’ Admission

After three weeks of football, the Tennessee Titans remain winless after they got torched by the Green Bay Packers in Nashville on Sunday to the tune of a 30-14 score. It was the worst loss of the season thus far for the Titans. It also left Titans head coach Brian Callahan with a tough admission following the game.

“It’s embarrassing and disappointing,” Callahan said, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).

Coaching in his first season for the Titans, Callahan knows there is plenty of work for him and Tennessee’s coaching staff.

“I’ve got to be a lot better than I’ve been, and this is frustrating and unfortunate and not what I thought we were capable of to start the season.”

Malik Willis shines in Green Bay Packers win vs. Tennessee Titans

The Packers didn’t have Jordan Love against the Titans but Malik Willis, a former Tennessee quarterback, played well enough for Green Bay to take down the AFC South team. Willis, who spent his first two seasons in the NFL with the Titans, passed for 202 yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions.

He completed over 60 percent of his passes again, connecting on 13 of his 19 throws. So far in the 2024 NFL campaign, the former Augurn Tigers and Liberty Flames quarterback has 324 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. In addition, Willis has 114 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

As for the Titans, they were slowed down again by the inconsistent play of quarterback Will Levis, who had two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Packers, with one of his picks returned for a touchdown by Green Bay defensive back Jaire Alexander.
