When the New England Patriots report to training camp later this month, wide receiver Stefon Diggs might not be in the best of moods.
That’s because his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, “took to Instagram over the weekend and erased all of her photos with the New England Patriots wide receiver, which is never a good sign,” according to TMZ.
Less than two months ago, the couple went Instagram official. “Cardi posted a photo of herself with Stefon cuddling on a boat and another pic showing roses and teddy bears, which were probably given to her by the NFL star,” TMZ noted.
Of course, it wouldn’t be surprising if there’s trouble in paradise, given the video of Diggs with several young women (and that bag with the mysterious pink substance) during a boat ride in May.
Diggs addressed the boat video last month. The wideout said he had already discussed the situation with head coach Mike Vrabel. “He told me, hope everyone’s making good decisions, and I had a conversation with people in the building as well,” Diggs said. “So, everything else is everything else. The particulars are all internal.”
A reporter followed up asking Diggs specifically what was in the bag.
“Obviously, it’s a conversation that’s happening internally. I can’t have too much of a conversation about it,” he responded. “I’ve been in this league 10 years. You can format the question many different ways, but I’m obviously going to answer the same way.”
Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the Patriots in March. The four-time Pro Bowl selection is recovering from a torn ACL which prematurely ended his 2024 season with the Houston Texans.
When he’s back to 100%, the Patriots are banking on Diggs returning to the All-Pro form which saw him record six straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. If that happens, quarterback Drake Maye has himself a game-changing WR1.
