The New England Patriots will visit the Arizona Cardinals down three.
Wide receiver Javon Baker and defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy have been ruled out for the road trip State Farm Stadium. Additionally, offensive tackle Caedan Wallace will remain on injured reserve for Sunday after recently seeing his 21-day activation window open as a limited participant.
Here’s the rest of the game statuses leading up to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
OUT
Patriots
- WR Javon Baker (concussion)
- OT Caedan Wallace (ankle — IR return)
- DT Jaquelin Roy (foot — placed on IR)
Cardinals
- RB Emari Demercado (back)
- CB Elijah Jones (ankle)
- P Blake Gillikin (right foot)
Coming out of the bye week, Baker was sidelined for three consecutive practices while in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Alongside the rookie wide receiver, Roy went from a limited participant to a back-to-back absence because of a foot injury. The sophomore defensive tackle has since been placed on injured reserve, ending his season with four games remaining. And Wallace’s official return to the offensive line will have to wait after going on injured reserve with an ankle issue in October. “I think he needs a little bit more time,” Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said of the No. 68 overall pick out of Penn State during his Friday press conference. “Again, we’ll see what he looks like today, but realistically, I don’t see him playing this week.”
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots
- OT Vederian Lowe (shoulder)
- G Cole Strange (knee)
- DT Christian Barmore (not injury related — other)
- CB Christian Gonzalez (shoulder)
- S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
Cardinals
- DT Naquan Jones (shoulder)
- DT Roy Lopez (ankle)
The Patriots activated Strange from the physically unable to perform list in advance of Wednesday’s full-padded practice. The 2022 draft choice and 27-game starter at left guard now resides among a handful of questionable after each finished Cardinals prep as partial participants. Sunday will mark 52 weeks since he sustained a torn patellar tendon.
Elsewhere, defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr., linebackers Anfernee Jennings and Sione Takitaki, cornerback Marcus Jones as well as safeties Jabrill Peppers and Jaylinn Hawkins will go without game designations for New England.
