Pedro Pascal Confirmed On Set For The Mandalorian & Grogu, Star Wars' Next Movie

Despite many doubts about the star's ability to appear in The Mandalorian and Grogu due to a busy schedule, Pedro Pascal is indeed confirmed to be heading to the set of Star Wars' next movie. Pascal's schedule has been a topic of contention for years now, following the actor's launch into stardom after the premiere of The Mandalorian in 2019. While he's been able to complete a voiceover role ever since 2021's The Book of Boba Fett, many have been hoping he'd step into Mando's suit again, and it appears that's exactly what will be happening, after all.

Will Pedro Pascal Be In The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie? Here's Everything We Know About His Star Wars Role

In an Instagram story shared by Din Djarin stuntman Lateef Crowder (via Mandoverse Updates), Crowder documents his drive over to the set of The Mandalorian and Grogu, where he writes at the bottom, "Stretch good Papa!" before tagging Pascal's Instagram. Crowder shares many of these daily stories as a way of connecting with fans, though this one certainly promises something even more. This good-natured shoutout to Pascal not only confirms that actor's presence on set, but also hints at what may be in store for Pascal's own role in the upcoming movie.

What Pedro Pascal's Presence On Set Means For Star Wars

There Are Good Things Ahead For This Movie

This is absolutely incredible news, particularly for those who may have feared that Pascal's busy schedule spent filming Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps would keep him from being inside Mando's beskar armor at any point in the movie. Pascal hasn't had a major role in the suit ever since The Mandalorian season 2, and audiences are eager to see him - whether his face is shown or not. This exchange alone promises that Pascal will have more of a role in the movie than he's had in recent seasons, which is absolutely essential to this movie's success.

We're One Step Closer To Seeing Din Djarin's Face Again

For What Will Be The First Time In Nearly 6 Years

Of course, the main thought going through most viewers' minds after hearing this news is that the chances of seeing Din Djarin's face again have skyrocketed. The character hasn't removed his helmet ever since The Mandalorian season 2 finale, which, by the time the movie releases, will mark nearly 6 years between those instances. Given how expressive of an actor Pascal is physically, his face has been dearly missed by The Mandalorian fans, especially without it being seen at all in season 3. His presence on set alone seems to tease that a brand-new helmet-less scene is in store.

Not only that, but Crowder's words also seem to tease something more about Pascal's appearance. Given Crowder's role as a stuntman, it makes sense that he would tease Pascal about stretching, but this would only really be necessary if Pascal were to be doing his own stunts in the suit. This means that, for the first time ever, Star Wars may be showing Din Djarin without his helmet during a fight scene, or some other kind of stunt scene. Clearly, Pascal will still have quite the role to play in The Mandalorian and Grogu - especially if it requires stretching.
