The Last of Us star sported a black sling alongside a nearly all-black ensemble Sunday night — but it wasn't a battle with zombies, intergalactic beings or narcos that gave him the injury. He told reporters that he simply "fell."

Though Pascal's sling was on display, his red carpet outfit caught attention for his tactile top — a black, skin-tight turtle neck with white yarn knots throughout. He paired the flashy top with black trousers.

Pascal, 48, was nominated for best actor in drama TV series for his role as Joel in HBO's The Last of Us at the 2024 Golden Globes. The post-apocalyptic drama, which premiered in at the beginning of 2023, followed the stand-in father figure on a mission to deliver Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a young girl, into the hands of scientists.

The two stars formed a close friendship off-screen. “I couldn’t have asked for a more anchoring, generous, thoughtful teenager. And I don’t mean to say that in a patronizing way,” Pascal said during a Variety’s Actors on Actors chat with Steven Yeun.

He added, “I relied on Bella for so much of the experience. We were both scared and shy about that, but Bella just inspired me to be mature about it.”

The Mandalorian star continued: “I really don’t think I’ve met anybody like Bella. They brought the best out of me as a person.”

The Last of Us was also nominated for best drama series while Ramsey picked up their own nomination for best actress in a drama TV series at the awards show presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
