The Last of Us actor Pedro Pascal is keen for an Emmy win at the upcoming awards after three nominations and missing out on a Golden Globe earlier this year
Hollywood actor Pedro Pascal has come a long way in his 28-year acting career, before having us glued to our screens in 2023 for The Last of Us.
He has reportedly been eyeing up a win at the upcoming Emmy Awards, especially as he was a shoe-in for the Golden Globes. However, he narrowly missed out on a win after Kieran Culkin snagged the award for his role in Succession. The actor is yet to ever win an Emmy, but Pascal has nominated three times, once for his role in The Last of Us, once for his appearance on Saturday Night Live and for his narrator role for Patagonia: Life On The Edge Of The World.
The Last of Us sees Pedro Pascal in the main lead as Joel Miller
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999)
Pedro's early days included a guest appearance on 90s cult classic Buffy, alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar. The Chilean actor appeared in the fourth season of the show in an episode called 'The Freshman' where he played the role of Eddie, a doomed vampire.
The Good Wife (2009-2011)
The actor plays Nathan Landry, an assistant state's attorney who appeared on the first two seasons of The Good Wife. Whilst only in two seasons, Pedro did win over fans with his character, but failed to be a main part of the political legal drama.
Brothers & Sisters (2011)
A family drama about a California family as they learn to cope after the death of their father, Pascal appeared in just two episodes of the popular program. In the fifth season he played Zach Wellman, acting alongside Sally Field, Dave Annable, Matthew Rhys and Luke Macfarlane.
Game of Thrones (2014)
In 2014, Pascal finally found his footing when he landed a role in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones as he played Oberon Martell. He may have only been seen in seven episodes, but his name was out there and his death scene is arguably one of the goriest in the long running drama as he faces Gregor Clegane and has his eyes gouged out before his head explodes.
Narcos (2015-2017)
After his GoT stint, Pascal continued to land some major roles including his appearance as Javier Peña. He starred in the series until his character's exit in the third season, as Peña left to make a new start in Mexico.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
In the second film in the Kingsman series, Pascal plays Agent Whiskey alongside a stellar cast including Halle Berry, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges.
