Annemarie Wiley shared a photo of herself from a hospital bed after receiving “alarming news,” suggested she needs surgery, and told fans to “listen to their body” when they know “something isn’t right.”
Annemarie was a main castmate last season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But after it aired, she revealed she wouldn’t be returning next season. During her time on the show, Annemarie – a nurse anesthetist– helped castmate Crystal Kung Minkoff in Spain when she had to be hospitalized for high blood pressure. At the time, the two stars were feuding.
On August 19, Annemarie shared a photo of herself from a hospital bed at Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
“Last week, I received some alarming news, and today I’m at my primary care physician’s office for my pre-op appointment,” wrote Annemarie in the caption of her Instagram post. “I’m still processing everything, but I believe in the power of being open and transparent—especially when it comes to our health.”
“If sharing this can inspire even one person to trust their instincts, listen to their body, and get checked, then it’s worth it,” she went on. “I appreciate your love and support as I share this with you. Always listen to your body — don’t wait if something feels off or you know something isn’t right. Your health is everything.”
Her former co-star Dorit Kemsley‘s husband PK wrote in the comments, “Wishing you a speedy recovery.”
Back in May, on an Instagram Q&A, Annemarie addressed her stint on RHOBH.
“What was your [favorite] part [about] your RHOBH experience?” asked one fan.
“BravoCon, discovering wigs, and connecting with fans,” the star answered.
“If you were granted another season of RHOBH what would you showcase?” asked another viewer.
“My journey to find my biological parents, navigating adoption trauma, the struggle of losing a parent to stage 4 cancer, and a HAPPY AND AFFLUENT BLACK FAMILY IN BEVERLY HILLS,” she explained.
A different fan asked why she became a nurse.
“I’m a total people person and a huge science nerd,” she said. “I became a CRNA because anesthesia is fascinating and I love helping people.”
