Pittsburgh Steelers could lose wide receiver to Baltimore Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers could end up losing Mike Williams. In fact, that is probably likely. One scenario would be that Williams heads back to his old team, the Los Angeles Chargers. However, could the Steelers lose Williams to one of their rivals?

Pro Football Focus believes the Baltimore Ravens’ dream signing this offseason should be poaching Williams away from the Steelers. That would give the Ravens wide receiver room some much-needed size and contested catch ability they lack.

"Without much cap space to maneuver, the Ravens will have a limited pool of free-agent options,” PFF wrote. “One potential target to fill in nicely as a big-bodied X-receiver could be Mike Williams. While he struggled in 2024, another offseason to regain his form post-ACL surgery in 2023 could pay dividends. In six seasons with the Chargers prior to his injury, he posted a 72.0-plus PFF receiving grade each year, presenting a solid value, if he can get back on track.”

After suffering a torn ACL with the Chargers in 2023, Williams never fully looked like the same player he was before the injury. At the very least, though, Williams was able to make stunning plays on the sideline on jump balls thrown his way.

That is his superpower, and if any team wants to acquire him for those skills, he can fill that void. The Steelers acquired him just for that, but they will likely let him walk and go for another veteran on the market, which could leave his market is a perfect spot for a team like the Ravens.
