The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without key rotational pass rusher and interior defensive linemen Montravius Adams for several weeks after he aggravated a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the New York jets. They brought back nose tackle Breiden Fehoko as insurance with Adams down for several weeks, and head coach Mike Tomlin had no timetable for his return.
Adams first suffered the knee injury in practice on Friday and was initially listed as questionable to play in the game, but the Steelers removed his game designation on Saturday. He played just one snap before being removed from the game and not returning.
The veteran suffered a knee injury last season that forced him to miss four weeks, too. Now, he will be out through the team‘s November 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens with the injury. Dean Lowry and Isaiahh Loudermilk will see more time, but it’s a blow to their interior pass rush depth, as the team has already lost DeMarvin Leal for the rest of the season with a neck injury.
