The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing quarterback Kyle McCord to the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex for one of their thirty pre-draft visits, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
McCord is the latest quarterback to come to Pittsburgh for a pre-draft visit with the Steelers. Shedeur Sanders is in Pittsburgh on Thursday for his own visit. Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart visited last week, and early in March, the Steelers hosted Louisville’s Tyler Shough.
In addition to that, the Steelers have shown interest on the pro day circuit in Will Howard, Jalen Milroe, Quinn Ewers, and Riley Leonard.
McCord is just the latest thread of interest that connects the Steelers to a litany of quarterbacks. At this point, it is much more than just due diligence across the board, as the team is shaping up to inform itself on their best options, and should take one within their first three picks of the NFL Draft.
Undeniably, they have put a ton of work into this quarterback class. It is not entirely on the level of 2022 just yet, but the Steelers are telling everyone that the quarterback is a real consideration, even as early as the first round.
