Quincy Williams’ Threatening Message to Fans Highlights Growing Tensions For Jets

The New York Jets are in the midst of a dreadful 2024 NFL campaign. Despite entering the year with Super Bowl aspirations, the team is now 3-7 through Week 10.

Jets' Quincy Williams airs frustration after $45,020 fine

This past weekend, the Jets suffered a brutal blowout loss at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets offense failed to score a single touchdown as New York fell with a 6-31 final score at State Farm Stadium.

The Jets' season has been marred by plenty of internal turmoil, including the dismissal of now-former head coach Robert Saleh.

Now, it appears there's some growing tensions between Jets players and a frustrated New York fanbase.

Jets linebacker Quincy Williams appeared to deliver a threatening message to fans who've had negative things to say about his play on the field.

"Yall better remember this football [expletive] is just my job. Find yall someone else to play with before you get found," Williams wrote on his Instagram story.

"Yeah this is a super bad look. Don't threaten your fans," one fan wrote.

"Jets highlights this year is podcasts and social media chirping. Absolute poverty franchise LOL," another said.

"This is the softest most pathetic team I've ever seen. The 2024 jets aren't even worth watching," another added.

Williams isn't the only Jets star to respond to social media criticism. On Monday, second-year cornerback Sauce Gardner fired back at criticism of his Week 10 performance.

"Yup I'm 100% sure me missing that tackle at the beginning of the 2nd quarter for a gain of 17 yards was the costliest miss and that is in fact what lost us the game," Gardner wrote in a since-deleted post.

From top to bottom the Jets are a disaster. No accountability. No leadership. Immaturity. Bunch of names & not a team. It's embarrassing. pic.twitter.com/8oFZ2hL82E

The Jets will look to bounce back in a Week 11 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
