Rams Bosses Openly Hungry For Jalen Ramsey; Bucs?

So a young head coach on a Hall of Fame track, Sean McVay, and one of the game’s great general managers, Les Snead, were openly pining today for cornerback Jalen Ramsey to return to their 10-7 Rams football team.

Ramsey’s wacky Dolphins are trying to trade him.

The seven-time Pro Bowler was healthy last season and still has some juice in his versatile game and 30-year-old legs.

“You would never eliminate the possibility of adding a total stud,” McVay said of Ramsey today at his pre-draft news conference, per multiple reports.

Snead said, via Stu Jackson of the Rams’ official website, he has contacted the Dolphins about Ramsey.

Ramsey is a better player than Bucs cornerback Jamel Dean, and certainly a lot more versatile. He’s owed $20.15 million this season and a trade could include the Dolphins picking up a chunk of the tab.

Publicly, Bucs officials have acted down on Dean and high on adding a cornerback during this week’s NFL Draft.

What about Ramsey?

The Bucs invested $12 million plus incentives in an edge rusher, Haason Reddick, a talented guy Ramsey’s age but coming off an ugly season with a history of being unfulfilled by his team.

Joe would be very intrigued to know what the Bucs really think of Ramsey and how, if at all, he could help them get to a Super Bowl this season.
