Ranking the Steelers 5 most important 2026 free agents

Depending on how things go in 2025, the Pittsburgh Steelers might be in full rebuild mode in 2026. This means many of the Steelers pending free agents won't get an offer as the Steelers go in another direction. Right now, the Steelers have 43 players who will be some sort of free agent in the offseason, and we will be shocked if the Steelers re-sign half of them.

Looking over the full list, here are the five pending free agents we would prioritize and you are reading it right that we do not have quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the list.

1 - EDGE T.J. Watt

We hope this never comes up and Watt and the Steelers can come to an agreement on a contract extension before the start of training camp next week.

2 - G Isaac Seumalo

We expected the Steelers to address Semualo leaving with a young guard in the NFL draft but since this didn't happen, we want to see Seumalo back.

3 - RB Jaylen Warren

Even if rookie running back Kaleb Johnson has a huge 2025 season, we want to see Warren get a contract to help maintain stability in the offensive backfield.

4 - WR Calvin Austin III

If Austin has the type of breakout season we expect this year, Austin is going to earn a big raise and we are good with Pittsburgh being the ones to pay him.

5 - S Miles Killebrew

As long as Killebrew is the best special-teams player in the NFL, he needs to be on the Steelers.
