The Boston Red Sox entered Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center with a chance to earn a series sweep, and they did exactly that with a 7-3 victory.
Boston's offense continued their hot streak, scoring seven runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out just four times. Jarren Duran (2-for-5 with a home run), David Hamilton (2-for-5), Enmanuel Valdez (2-for-3 with a home run and a walk), Dominic Smith (1-for-4) and Romy Gonzalez (1-for-4) all drove in runs on the night.

They also benefitted from four Blue Jays errors and continued to cause havoc on the basepaths, as Duran and Gonzalez both stole two bases while Hamilton stole one.
Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello didn't have his best stuff, putting men on base early and often, but he was able to push through and get through six innings while giving up just two runs on seven hits and two walks. Justin Slaten followed with two innings of one-run ball, and Chris Martin came in for a scoreless ninth in his return from the injured list.
This win brings Boston's record to 40-35 on the season and 22-15 on the road. They've now won five games in a row for just the second time this season. They'll have a day off on Thursday before a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds begins on Friday night.
