The Miami Dolphins hosted defensive tackles Neil Farrell and Tyler Manoa.
The Miami Dolphins are exploring the waiver wire for additional depth along the defensive line. According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Dolphins worked out defensive tackles Neil Farrell Jr. and Tyler Manoa on Wednesday.
Farrell, 26, was originally drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He’s appeared in 12 games over the last two seasons with 13 tackles, two tackles for a loss, and a pass defended.
Farrell was traded to the Chiefs for a 2024 sixth-round draft pick on Aug. 29, 2023. He appeared in three games last season and spent training camp in Kansas City but was released in early September.
Manoa, 24, signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent after starting 12 games in his senior season at Arizona, where he tallied 28 tackles and a sack. He recently spent time with the Arizona Cardinals but was released when the team signed Angelo Blackson to the practice squad on Sept. 10.
The Dolphins have a well-established defensive tackle rotation, and unless injuries arise in the coming days, Wednesday’s workouts may be more focused on reinforcing the practice squad.
